Dare I Say It? (updated)

dare i say it? the phillies are at .500 for the first time since...well, since...they were 0-0 (does that count as .500?). hallelujah!

another stellar game was pitched by cole hamels (pictured below). this kid is going to be a stud. he is 6-1 with a 3.30 era and is among the lead leaders in strikeouts (he had 11 last night).

things are finally looking up...fingers crossed, of course.

UPDATE: 2 things. 1) i did not cole hamels was perfect through 6 when i published it. 2) there was an announced attendance of 43,000 at the game. that is amazing. its remarkable. its really incredible. can someone in philadelphia please tell me what is going on? is the town phillies-crazy? i mean, i am phillies-crazy this year, but i always am..but maybe with the expectations, my generation coming of age (those of us who fell in love with the '93 team at the ripe age of 13), and citizens bank park there is a new base of support for the phillies that can hopefully carry on into the future...and to a world series championship!
